Once a month I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last month. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have. So atmospheric. That’s how a winter should be. The atmosphere in your photo makes me feel happy.
Urban winter at its best. 🙂
An urban winter, nicely done!
Thank you.
I think including that thicket of electric poles and wires is what makes this of interest, all the vertical and horizontal lines jazz up what would’ve otherwise been a commonplace scene, and make it pretty cool!
I am happy you like it. Thanks for the feedback, Robert.
I like Fraggle’s thought of urban winter. For me, all the obstructions of poles and wires work very well!
It’s one of my interests photographically, it seems. the chaos of wires and poles.
Now I’m even happier that I noticed
There’s an interesting contrast between the subtle colors of the buildings and the in-your-face wires. The blocks of color seem serene, like an especially pretty sunrise or sunset, while the wires appear chaotic. The contrast makes the photo one I spent some time with.
That is a lovely feedback, Linda. Thank yoi.
I love this. My eye started at the colorful buildings at the top of the image, then followed the road down the hill and found the people (surprise!) at the bottom. Wonderful!
The people aren’t big, but I am glad you found them. Thank you for the comment, Dawn.
Everything about this–I just love it!
Thanks a lot, Lois.
For me, too, it’s the muddle of pales and wires in this wintery surrounding that make the surrounding very lively! Many thanks, Otto!
And thank you for the feedback, Martina.
Dear Otto,
we like your picture because it’s so cluttered and transports ideally the winter mood. Actually, it’s reminds me of the time we lived in St. Gallen and Zürich. We very much miss the snow here at the North Norfolk coast.
Thanks for sharing. Keep well
The Fab Four of Cley
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
I guess, England, generally, isn’t know for its snow… Instead you got other attractions, no? But I am glad that the photo sent you back on memory lane.
We have snow for about a week about every fifth year. Normally we went in winter to the North.
Lov the limited colour palette!
Thank you, Sue.
I love this one, Otto, for the compressed space and the many crisscrossing lines and geometric shapes. It’s a real tangle and it’s fascinating to look at.
I think I like tangle. 🙂 Thanks, Lynn.
nice place and great shot.
Have a wonderful day
Thank you, Tanza.
take care
Thank you. You too, Tanza.
Nature bring unknowns. Can humans wire those?
Probably more difficult than wiring urban infrastructure…
A super picture: beautifully composed.
Thank you, Louis.
that doesn’t look real, dude… did you slip into an alternate universe? 🙂
I always feel like I have entered an alternate universe. Maybe it’s me?…
blame physics 🙂
Then I certainly will.
There’s a mixture of a lot of diverse stuff in here. Nice.

Thank you, Art.
