Last Month’s Instagram

Once a month I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last month. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have. For more photos; visit

  1. I think including that thicket of electric poles and wires is what makes this of interest, all the vertical and horizontal lines jazz up what would’ve otherwise been a commonplace scene, and make it pretty cool!

  2. There’s an interesting contrast between the subtle colors of the buildings and the in-your-face wires. The blocks of color seem serene, like an especially pretty sunrise or sunset, while the wires appear chaotic. The contrast makes the photo one I spent some time with.

  3. I love this. My eye started at the colorful buildings at the top of the image, then followed the road down the hill and found the people (surprise!) at the bottom. Wonderful!

  4. Dear Otto,
we like your picture because it’s so cluttered and transports ideally the winter mood. Actually, it’s reminds me of the time we lived in St. Gallen and Zürich. We very much miss the snow here at the North Norfolk coast.
    Thanks for sharing. Keep well

  5. I love this one, Otto, for the compressed space and the many crisscrossing lines and geometric shapes. It’s a real tangle and it’s fascinating to look at.
