Once a week I will show one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.

I particularly like the play of color and shadow in the branches. The image evokes the relief of sunset in the desert, particularly with those hills shimmering in the background.

I love the warmth of this image. It makes me feel like there is definitely hope on the horizon.
Isn’t it odd that I saw it as a sunrise and everyone else saw it as a sunset. I like to comment before I read everyone else’s comments so that I’m not influenced. Would I still have seen “hope” had I thought it was a sunset? I’ll never know.
I should not say what it is, then. To make sure the hope will still be there. 🙂
