Once a week I will show one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.
seems ..photo editor changed the location/back drop ..and oops from the toilet got transferred to the jungle…
Ha. Ha. Funny! Than you.
Oh, I really like this, Otto.
I am glad you did. Thank you, Ashley.
Now , that is amazing!! I am thinking about all the insect bites , walking around so scantily clad! Good stuff.
Thank you, Paula.
Not someone I would relish meeting in the woods! Is he really there or transposed…?
He is really there! 🙂
Nice composition and idea. The rocks point to the “cave man”
That’s a good thought, but the stream running by could also suggest a water spirit…
Well that’s different! Hope he’s not hanging around my woods.
I don’ think he is dangerous or mean any harm! 🙂
Do you see the small creature in front of the man? They seem to be considering each other, not as hunter and hunted, but only as companions in the forest.
I think they are. 🙂
Very original work for Instagram, “getting back to his roots”, literally!
Thank you Mike. Much appreciated.
Hm, intriguing. An ancestral portrait, perhaps….
Perhaps. 🙂
The caveman who hesitate to enter the cave !! can be a bear !!!!
Pretty prehistory effect
I do seethe prehistoric association. Thank you, Pat.
This looks like a scene from the Palaeolithic Era. All that is missing is the dinosaur.
Maybe it’s hiding behind the rocks. 🙂
Gosh, you’re even returned in prehistoric times for taking pictures
Fantastic!
Ciao, Pat
Seems like more than you have the same thought here. I think the reaction is great fun. Thank you, Patrizia.
Thanks to you, dear Otto.
He looks intense.. and waiting for some thing to come out.
The question is of course what he is waiting for?… 🙂
what the heck is THAT? were you guys playing ‘lord of the flies’ while you were out camping? 🙂 neat shot!
I love how different you all see this. Thank you Elaine. I haven’t read Lord of the Flies in a very long time. Maybe about time to get the dust off it.
Interesting shot Otto! 🙂
Thank you, Adrian.
I love this surprise! I have been looking at the photograph really liking how the lines work in the square format. I read the comments and found the sqatting man!
You mean, you didn’t see him before you read the comments? Thank you for the nice words, Carla.
No I didn’t 🙂
Now there’s a man who enjoys being one with nature 😀
I would indeed say so. Thank you Leticia
With your photography we can Travel in different countries, but not only: we Travel in a different era ad well!
robert
If you think so, I would be very happy. Thank you for the encouraging words, Robert.

Very unusual subject matter, Otto. Did you and your camera get teleported back to the Stone Age? 😕
Either that or to a different dimension. 🙂
suspense!!…he seems waiting for something strange from the cave!!
It must something be something not even we can understand. 🙂
Oh my, this is brilliant image – it feels like in a fantasy land but real – great image, Otto!
I am glad you like it. Thank you, Indah.
Visually arresting! Definition and contrast are so good.
Thank you for the kind words, Mark.
Hi Otto, I haven’t ventured into all of the instagram opportunities, hopefully one day. I did not know you could create a multiple exposure in instagram. Is it a self portrait? The man is rather Neanderthal, but not scary, and the place is gorgeous, is the water fresh?
The actual double exposure is created outside of Instagram. I often use a lot of different apps before a photo ends up in Instagram. Self portrait? Maybe. And, yes, it’s a stream of fresh water. 🙂
What a gorgeous place to get away to Otto, just what i need myself, sunshine and camping expedition.
Thank you, Adele.
There were times when I lived in North Central BC that I had walked into the deep woods and thought that I was being shadowed by a forest spirit like this. I thought that I had caught glimpses of them but I can never be sure. You notice them in the periphery of your vision or imagination, never in a direct line of sight.
Eerie.
Yes, the forest spirit can be quite eerie. Thank you for sharing your experience with the forest spirit, Allan.
