Once a month I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last month. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have. Great picture. Nice colours and a magnificent atmosphere. I love it.
Thank you so much.
Reminds me of what I might find in one of my mother’s old wooden cigar boxes with old family photos stashed away.
I see what you see, and yes, it could easily have been a photo dating back 60 or more years…
This photograph brings to mind scorched earth. Such an evocative photo Otto .
Thank you for the nice words, Rene.
You’re welcome Otto
I had the same reaction as rangewriter – a picture from a very old negative.
Albeit, it isn’t. 🙂 Thanks for commenting, Robert.
Very nostalgic picture. I saw few disks there. I am wondering that they are?
I am not quite sure what the disks are. Some sort of hatches.
Love the mood !
Thank you, Robert.
The colours are mystical and lovely 🤗💕
Yes, quite a melancholy touch, I would say. 🙂
Amazing. Almost like the early pics of Everest climbers in some of my books. The sky treatment is very moody.
Fun that you think of Everest and early climbers. Thank you, Vicki.
I think I would be running away from that sky!
Just some water, that’s all. 🙂
I love the symmetry between the woman on the left and the young girl. They seem perfectly in synch; I thought they were ice skating when I first looked at the image. There’s a real sense of unspoken communication.
Alas, a contradiction in terms? Thank you for the poignant comment, Linda.
Otto, there is a lot I love about this capture.
I am glad you do. Thank you, Cornelia.
Interesting background effect with that sun reflection.

Thanks for the comment, Art.
Really cool effect!
Thank you.
Lungs are longing for covidfree places.
Oh, yes, Every lung, I am sure.
I have the impression, Otto, that mother and child are used to this kind of winter weather, but I wonder, why they are not wearing boots!
I don’t I did either… Just not enough snow, for me at least. 🙂
❄️☃️🌦
wow, this picture looks like Mars has been terraformed 🙂
Or maybe it’s the other way around? That would be too scary, though…
i love the processing for this. it gives it so much room for interpretation of what’s going on.
Thank you, Sherri. I try to move more in the direction of making photos open for interpretations.
Effective vintage-looking processing. As if from someone’s aging photo album with yellow deteriorating paper. Maybe it is???
No, it is processing. Thank you for the comment, Denise.
