Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.
The tone takes me back in time. 🙂
It does have a feel of time gone by, doesn’t it.
Love this, Otto. And have to agree with Frank. It does have an old feel to it!
And I agree, too. 🙂
Love the atmosphere created.
Thank you.
Great, historic feel.
Thanks for comment, Paula.
Special light, special mood!

Yes, it was quite some special light.
I love the way you processed this one.
Thank you, Barbara.
I like this one, Otto–especially the sparkles on the water.
I am happy you do. Thank, Lois.
I so enjoy the variety of vessels you show, Otto. Some of them I can’t identify at all: are they houseboats, fishing boats, ferries, or work boats? They’re all interesting, and the processing you used here gives them a wonderful, gritty feel. My favorite detail here is whatever’s tied alongside the upper deck on the boat on the left. It looks for all the world like a paddleboard, windsurfing board, or a kayak. Maybe someone’s taking to heart your admonition to have fun!
There are all kinds of boats here, because it’s a boat yard. Your detailed observation skills made me look again at the photo. I think what you are referring to on the upper deck, is a kayak. At least when I looked at the original photo, that’s what comes to mind.
That is brilliant. Just love it.
Thank you. 🙂
Love the colouration. 🙂 🙂
Thanks, Jo.
Very rustic look.. I like it.!
Thank you.
Fascinating effects on this photo. Well done. 🙂
Thank you, Frank. Much appreciated, since I know you are not a big fan of Instagram.
Really like the grungy tone of this one.
Thank for the feedback.
I looks like a drawing, or maybe I’m caught up in all the straight lines. Love the effect.
It’s still a photograph, but yes, quite processed. Thank you for the comment, Linda.
Beautiful!
Thank you, Syd.
The elements all come together so perfectly here, Otto.
Thank you.
everything looks all topsy turvy!!!
I don’t even know what that means, but I like the expression. 🙂
This gives the illusion of being a painting. I wish I could think of the artists name that it reminds me of.
I am sure who you might think, but yes, it does have some painterly qualities. I see that.
