Last Week’s Instagram

Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.

  1. Fantastic contrast between the mountains.
I admire your energy. Many beautiful and interesting photos (today only one, but otherwise.) Interesting and long texts and different platforms. Many followers. That requires time.

  2. Hello Otto, I like your photo, very striking. It also strikes me, that I think about food way too much. Because the foreground slope looks like chocolate, dusted with cacao, and the white and blue snow, looks like a strange sort of ice cream, peculiar to Milwaukee, called “blue moon,” I never saw it until I moved here. It’s horribly sweet and artificial-tasting ice cream, but your photo is very cool.

  3. The colors are glorious, of course, and I’m quite taken by the contrast between the horizontal brown and vertical blue/white ice. Out of curiosity, did it ever occur to you to crop in from the left a bit, to eliminate the one piece of disconnected white ice? I tried it, and liked it, simply because the one white ‘bit’ kept pulling my eye to the left edge of the image.

    1. Thank you for the comment, Linda. Are think you are right about the suggestion, But at the same time I like to create a little bit of disturbance whenever I can. And of course, that’s a lousy excuse.

  4. I see it’s not only me who gets caky associations like bløtekake admiring the mountain! 🙂
I like your attitude to the light disturbance. 😉
