Last Week’s Instagram

Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.

      1. Urk! That comment was done in a rush but really should have been Wow! The sun rays are wonderfully rendered here, tricky exposure I think, or would be for me, but you nailed it.

  1. Stunning! Besides being beautiful, I like that it tricked my eyes and I had to stop and figure out what I was looking at. I also loved your post about obstacles to seeing. Some of your points sank home for me. Thanks for reminding me of what’s important in the creative process.

  2. This is such an intriguing image, Otto. It has the feeling of a collage. The bands of color are particularly striking — sometimes, a little altitude is just what’s needed!

  3. Stunning image. I agree with Linda (shoreacres). It does have the feeling of a collage with those bands of colour.

  4. Spectacular shot.
Like someone else mentioned, it almost has a feel of multiple photos stitched into one, and each layer beautiful in its own way. The sun with the the “silver” or should I say golden lining in the clouds, the rays peeking from the clouds, and the water dotted with islands, and then a lovely little settlement – all beautifully captured.
