Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.
Even though I prefer more realistic portrayals of the natural world, it’s fun to see how you’ve used this new technique with these flowers. I laughed to see that the bee had escaped the swirling!
It would have been pretty seasick after such a swirl. Better not!
that’s so cool, love it!
Thank you, Beth.
There’s always one in every crowd…..
Oh, yeah.
That’s beautifully uplifting. I really love this photograph!
Thank you for the encouraging words, Holly.
It’s my pleasure Otto.
Thanks for the floral energy…………..
And thank you for the feedback, Sally.
Nice swirly!
Thank you.
Instant smile! Very “Summer of Love ’67” I love it.
And admiration for the bee, I can tell from the eyes (bugging out a bit in surprise), it’s not oblivious to the swirling colors, but it sticks to its duties, harvesting pollen.
A bee has to do what a bee has to do, no!? Thank you, Robert.
What a graceful, fun picture. So surprisingly playful.
I am delighted you think so. 🙂

Otto, I love this colorful creation. It is the “bee’s knees” 😄
That’s a good one. Thank you, Gilda.
Pretty! I’m glad the bumblebee didn’t get caught in the swirling vortex 🙂
I am sure he or she was, too.
That is gorgeous.
Thank you, Michael.
Fabulous photo.
Thanks.
Utterly beautiful. Love the color and motion and surprise. And I stared at it for quite some time, trying to understand how you created it.
It was created by the swirl and twirl technique describe in the blog The World According to Dina: https://fabfourblog.com/2020/04/28/swirls-and-twirls/
That’s beautiful, Otto! Thanks for sharing!
And thank you for commenting, Karen.
This one feels magical to me.
I glad you think so. Thank you, Maranto.
looks a scene from inside a time travel machine!
Hopefully travelling to better times then. 🙂
Nice blend. Was the swirly derived from the flower picture?
Yes, they were made on a copied layer of the flowers.
I know plants communicate and, you have shown it nicely.
I have to admit, I didn’t have that in my thoughts. 🙂
Beautiful
Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you, Graham.
It’s amazing how the swirls can transform a photo. It always put a smile on my face, you never quite know what you are getting. Lovely work😊
Thank you, Dina (or you behind Dina). It’s really all your “fault”.
