Last Week’s Instagram

Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.

  1. Very pleasing composition. I love photos of the ordinary everyday scenes that most people wouldn’t notice at all. As Sue said, that pop of red…..

  2. As strange as it might seem, this feels like one of the “coldest” winter photos I’ve seen. I think it might be that touch of red, that recalls less monochromatic seasons. Maybe that’s one reason so many people enjoy Valentine’s Day. All the touches of red provide a bright and cheery interlude in the long slog of winter — especially once winter isn’t ‘pretty’ any more.

  3. Striking photo, Otto! My eye keeps going to all of the linear patterns, from the latticework of the fence blending in with upper tree branches and the striations of the wooden backboard. A great study of texture and line!
