Last Week’s Instagram

Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.

  1. Autumn is such a stunning season, I love it. You capture a golden gem with this picture, it really pops against the dark background. I actually like the antenna/tower on the hills it added further interest.

  2. I’m surely no kind of photography expert but if this photo was short during what appears to be evening why does this tree look bright enough to be on fire? Anyway, its pretty out there by its lonesome. Looks similar to a quaking aspen. Trees gives us and the all living things so much, including homes for larger bird varieties. The more diverse kinds of trees continue surviving the more diverse will be bird species and their songs.

    1. The reason the tree seems to be glowing is because the sun comes from behind and lights up every single leaf. The photos wasn’t shot in the evening, but almost at midday, but the sun is really low up here in the north at this time of the year. And, yes, trees are very important for all living creatures and life in general.
