Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.
These black and white people captures (from Street Photography) and here are really artful. They remind me of the hammered copper and tin prints you can sometimes find. This one really implies movement frozen. Great job.
Thank you so much.
The Ferris wheel goes ‘round and ‘round, and a visitor is overcome with dizziness or a vision? Intriguing, an image to stimulate story-telling.
I do like the juxtaposition of the two. Thanks for the feedback, Robert.
I’d title this one “The See-Farer.” The sextant-like wheel, the telescope with its binnacle-like mount, the windblown hair, and the enclosed ‘deck’ all hint of a journey to far, hardly imagined lands.
That is a great title. Thanks for that, Linda.
It looks like he was having a great fun and joy.
I think he had. 🙂
Very fun to look at, lots of things in this one to catch your eye.
I am glad you enjoyed it. Thank you, Dawn.
Well that posture sure makes my eyes linger and wonder what was up. I love the lighting and puzzle a bit at how you accomplished this image.
The right place and the right timing. And not looking like I was photographing. 🙂
Maybe also a tad of clever processing to highlight certain aspects of the scene?
Of course, processing is an important part of the result. 🙂
I think he’s about to sneeze! 🙂 fab shot full of possible stories.
He didn’t sneeze, but I am not sure what he was up to…
Such a perfectly timed shot, Otto! Love the “hair action” and the ferris wheel!
It’s quite a coincidence, isn’t it. 🙂
A stunner!!
Thank you, Paula.
Fantastic picture.
Strongly engaging and provocative image.
Good to hear. Thanks, Sally.
A great photo Otto!
Thanks a lot.
is he working on an oil rig? lol neat picture, Otto!
Could be, but not. 🙂
A powerful strangeness in this one, Otto!
Yes, indeed – and it’s the strangeness that made me choose this moment.
Wonderful capture! I love the pose (and hair)!
Thanks a lot, Denise.
hi Otto 🙂 Excellent! as always! 🙂 hope you are doing well; you and yours! It has been a long time since … 😉
Thank you so much, Solveig. Yes, time is running, isn’t it.
Almost surreal, and illustrative. Love it.
Thank you.
This series of posting insta-photos is captivating – inspires me to explore this as a project too- Love it
Always nice when you know you can be of some inspiration. Thank you for the feedback.
