Last Week’s Instagram

Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.

  1. Goodness! In some ways, Otto, this image, without the drinks containers, could come from the ’60s. Very striking play of light, different on each of three faces. Love the monochrome.

  2. Too cool! Extras headed to the set for Miami Vice or Magnum P. I.?
Or, is it possible, Knight Rider?!! Seriously, I like the way the patterned dress, and their artfully wavy hair, seems to emerge from the patterned shadows in the background.

  3. My favorite part of the photo is the seated woman in the background. The expression on her face is priceless: not only weary, but world-weary. She’s seen that couple before, a thousand times over, and she’s not impressed.

  4. I love this photo, Otto! Such an intriguing couple! Their clothing and accessories are interesting and I feel drawn into the photo wondering where they’ve been or where they are going. It’s even more interesting because of the woman sitting nearby also taking in the scene! This is a recent favorite for me, Otto!

  5. Refreshing stuff, it’s good to refresh our memories,it makes feel great that we had a time out like that, this is art, this is a library and above all, this is life.thanks for sharing this.
