Last Week’s Instagram

Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.

  1. Sometimes, the most ordinary experiences can lead to a good image. Even if we haven’t experienced an inside-out umbrella, we’ve all had “those” moments, and your capture of the expression on his face is perfect.

  2. Well spotted. I love those ordinary moments which we all experience captured within the frame. (shows a quick reaction time and why you should always have your camera in your hand when doing street photography).

No point carrying all your gear packed neatly away when roaming the city/town streets. You’ve got to be ready to lift your camera to your eye and have some general camera settings that cover most situations. I also envy photographers who can shoot from the hip too.

  3. I love your photography. You have a beautiful gift. That guy is at cross roads. Things are so not in his favor with his covering blown

  4. I like the texture of the different pavement compositions. It almost has a “grainy” effect, but then the gentleman and umbrella are well-focused. It makes an interesting photo, Otto. I like it.

  5. Oh boy … don’t you hate when that happens! I am intrigued but the setting here. The diagonal lines just all seem to suit what is going on in the scene. I love the person’s expression too!
