Last Week’s Instagram

Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.

  1. Photography is an art, that photographer paints with light, as they say. This is beautiful. In here, water is another factor too in this image. The effect/impression of the water into the light tones is amazing. Thank you dear Otto, Love, nia

  2. Love the layers and lines created by the water and rocks, sand and low tide. The light ensures your eye is drawn towards the figures which is just perfect.
The tonal range of blues and olive green is particularly appealing to me as they are so much softer than down here in Australia.

  3. The colors, late light, and extended shadows are beautiful, but it’s the rocks that I really enjoyed. The little dam across the tidal stream is especially fun. I can’t help wondering if the trio on the flats were the ones who built it, and who now, their “work” done, are heading off to play.

  4. A nice vantage point. Rich of contrast. The massage is interesting though for me, I feel a bit of struggle from those people walking on stones, sand and puddles of water. Look like they were finding the right path for them.

  5. Love the lines, textures and Earth tones in this picture, but it’s the long shadows and the reflection of the lady in the water that got my attention first. Beautiful photo Otto. Happy Easter!
