Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.
Ah, backlight!! Love this, Otto
Thank you, Sue.
This is beautifully surreal Otto. An alien landscape and an other world explorer. It’s awesome.
I am happy you like it. Thank you, Holly.
It’s very intriguing, I especially love this photo. Thank you Otto!
Great shot, Otto! Love it!!
Thank you, Donna.
My favorite detail? The bit of sunlight shining through between the rock and that right foot. It suggests that the hiker/photographer might well be walking on sunshine.
I like that idea or suggestion. Thanks, Linda.
Peace and solitude, that’s what I get from this image.
It was peaceful and with lots of open space. 🙂
My favorite combination. Looks a bit like the Pacific Northwest.
In fact it’s Western Norway. 🙂
this is just beautiful
Thank you, Sherri.
You did so well to get such a starry sun, impressive work in a splendid location
Thank you, Paula.
Ahh.. I can feel the place as well. Breath taking…
It was indeed quite a place and also moment. Thank you for the feedback.
Your image invites me to join and savor the gorgeous view.
Good to know. Thank you for the feedback, Sally.
I would love to be on that mountain, Otto, enjoying that view!
It was a great place to be. 🙂
So beautiful! I would love to see where you were standing to take this gorgeous shot! It’s exhilarating, Otto.
I was right there. 🙂 It was a gorgeous moment with a 360 degree view.
Amazing view! 🙂
It was breathtaking. 🙂
Your photography is stunning. I really love your pictures of the family of farmers in Cuba. You capture the people and setting in such a beautiful way.
Thank you, my friend.
Another great photo, Otto. Simply stunning!
Thank you so much, Julie.
Otto, this somehow reminds me of a famous self-portrait by the late, great Galen Rowell in which he stood on top of a mountain framed in backlight. (He set up the shot and his assistant tripped the shutter.) A better compliment I can’t think of.
And I thank you sincerely for the compliment, Nancy.
wow… now that’s a trick of the light!!
Or laws of the lens…
your lens makes people glow like angelic beings?? 🙂
That’s my secret weapon.
you shouldn’t keep it secret!! teach a course on how to make people look like angels 🙂
You are so right. I don’t like secrets, so I will have to teach a workshop now.
goodie!!
Wow! This is a stunning photograph.
Thank you, Val.
What a feeling, being up there! I feel quite wobbly, Otto! 🙂 🙂 It’s beautiful.
Thank you, Jo. It was a gorgeous and wide open afternoon.
So Surreal. Love it!
Not all moments should be captured for others or to share keep some precious for yourself ,live that moment and you will enjoy that peaceful emptiness which belongs to you ,only for you
