Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.
Freedom comes with a bumpy landing. Excellent photo.
Thank you, Holly.
Wow! That’s an exciting shot. I’m trying to picture where you were in relation to the subject.
Standing right at the edge of the rock where the paraglider took off. 🙂
My first thought was, “Not going to be doing that.” My second thought was, “I wonder what shutter speed caught that with such definition?” My third thought? “That control line in his left hand hand better be more than cotton twine.”
To take it from beginning to end. “I would love to try.” The shutter speed was 1/2000 s. – faster than needed. And I do hope the control line in the right hand is better than cotton twine, too.
Sunshine – check!
Lens flare – check!
Cool photo – Check!!
Lovely comment – check!
Thank you – check!
😁
Exhilarating! What a great photo, Otto. You were in the air, too?
No, unfortunately I was not in the air. 🙂
Excellent!
Thank you.
what a beautiful feeling gives… flying should be so beautiful. But dear Otto, give us more detail, the story of this photograph, where are you, are you flying too,…etc. Should be so exciting, I can imagine this. Thank you, have a nice weekend, Good evening, Love, nia
I agree, it should be exciting, but I wasn’t flying myself, unfortunately. I just happened to be at the jumping off spot when they did. May you have a great week, Nia.
Beautiful! I love the light throughout and the view from the top of the world.
It must have been even more exhilarating from the point of view of the parashoot.
That’s an amazing shot!
I was just lucking being there at the right time and thee right spot. 🙂
That is an awesome shot! The photographer is also at the same vantage point!
I was just next to him with he jumped off the rock.
Good catch!
Oh my! that must be an exhilaration! I will never know.
I hope to know one day. 🙂
Enjoyed the image for your composition and perspective, well done.
Thank you, Sally.
Oh! This brings back memories and some chills! I’ve done this … twice … and not on anyone’s back … solo!
I bet it was fun, included the chills.
Wow – what a great shot (and that sunburst adds so much to the composition too).
Thank you, Vicki.
Very nice shot! 🙂
Thank you, Nuno.
whoa… Otto, if you were beside him, flying above a canyon, i don’t think you should have let go to take this picture lol i love the picture but must say ‘don’t doooooo dat’ lol
NO: dooo dat’! (but you’re right I was not flying along with him.)
I, too, was wondering where you were in relation to the paraglider, Otto, but I found the answer. You could have fibbed a little and told us that you were taking it from a second paraglider! 😊 (Just kidding! I know you would never lie to us.)
Thank you for the trust in me. 🙂
Love it. Free as a bird
Thank you, Miriam.
Oh wow what a great shot! 🙂
Thank you, Julie.
an incredible capture with wonderful control of the light
I am glad you like it.
