Last Week’s Instagram

Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.

  1. Hi Otto- It is so important for all artists -all persons really- to change things up. So, even though I miss your travellog photos and catching people in the moment- I am interested in what you are offering! This feels otherworldly. Is it sandwiched at all? The close-up plus a long shot is throwing me off a little – which is not a negative. Creating more curiousity.

  2. Twists, turns, swirls and filigree with a mystical creature as well. This intrigues me. All the people seem to be looking at other things besides the mystery at their feet. That intrigues me, too. Nice work, Otto.

  3. I am catching up with blogs Otto and I am happy to have come to yours again to see this. It has a great choreography and tension. I love the viewpoint. Most excellent!

  4. This is spooky enough for Halloween. I’d title it “The Arrival” — although I’m not sure “it” hasn’t already arrived, given those strange designs on the ground. This really is a story in an image.

  5. This made me smile – I recognize it! I have a photo of it somewhere, but not from this angle – that was a great idea and you made it a really powerful image. (And even the Space Needle is in there!!)

  6. This looks post apocalyptic to me, with lost people wandering around — but the sun is shining and a guy is on the phone so it must not be too dire? Love the angle and the sun dial. Cool image.
