Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.
i love all the lines here
I am glad you do. Thank you for the feedback, Beth.
Reminds me of my recent trip to the Tatras in Poland
Interesting since I usually think of the landscape in Poland and Norway being so different.
I’m sure it is, largely!
Great photo, the stones are a boundary between the known and unknown. Thank you Otto, your photographs always stir the imagination.
And thank you your positive comments, Holly.
My kind of place. I can smell the pines and hear the birds 🙂
Nothing would please me more. Thank I have been able to convey some of the atmosphere of the place.
Great colours. It looks like the entrance to a hidden world.
It could be, couldn’t it. 🙂
Wendell Berry titled one of his poems “A Timbered Choir,” and that’s certainly what I see here: a choir, with its director standing before it, leafy arms raised. I can’t quite discern its song, but I know it would be worth hearing.
And interesting connecting thought. I like the idea of a timbered choir.
Very nice contrast scene!
Thank you.
Love that purple!!
It’s making a nice colour contrast, isn’t it. 🙂
So much so!
I like mosses, lots of green and meandering rock walls. I see red in the tree- was it apples?
No it’s not apple, but what I believe in English is called rowan-berries.
Very nice, Otto. We are familiar with such stone walls in the north of England. Do you have them in Norway too?
Yes, we do, particularly in the western part of Norway. It’s only natural when you have so much rock available, I believe.
Nature is remarkable. So is your photo.
Thank you, Michelle.
It’s so ” organic “. The lines are beautiful.
It is an amazingly beautiful place.
Such an interesting photo! The tree in the foreground stands as sentinel before the line of sparer bare-limbed trees. I love this. There’s story potential here! 🙂
For me there are more than one story. In the contrast between solitary and togetherness, in the contrast between coniferous and deciduous, and finally between nature and human existence. Thank you for the comment. As always much appreciated.
Gorgeous! Love the lines, light and depth in this picture. I also agree with Debra: definitely a huge story potential.
Trees in all their splendor.
I have always been enjoying trees in all shapes and forms.
Great composition, lines and textures. The purple cast adds a unique twist!
Thank you, Denise.
