Last Week’s Instagram

De gamle ruinene ved Skintveit

Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. Except for the technical details beneath the pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.

Facts about the photo: Taken with Canon EOS-5D and a 16-35 mm lens set at 27 mm. Exposure: A shutter speed of 1/125 second and an aperture of f/8.0. The photo was processed in Lightroom and then with the app Snapseed with the filter Drama and adding a Snapseed fram.

      1. Nordic is the stuff, the Trolls must still be there..if they desert the Scandinavian country, the rest of the world would be in dire straights. Lovely photo, Otto.

  1. The variety of textures is wonderful. The fallen limb, or stick, or whatever, that seems to be protruding from the top of the stump in the center of the photo looks to me very much like an axe handle. I don’t imagine trolls here, but a hard-working person who’s been splitting wood — or, given the state of the foundation, perhaps the ghost of the wood-splitter.

  2. Its the background that draws me in. Those straight trees seem able to move like panels in order to allow me access to what exists behind. Almost like a doorway to a magical place. Love this one!

  3. A beautiful corner of forest !! a treatment that gives relief to the image (HDR style)
a tree curtain, well diffuses light! Great
