Once a week I will show one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.
WOw!! VON what a classical pics you post here…Well deserved capture!
Thanks. 🙂
This is the kind of photo books are written about. The Stephen King kind of books.
Maybe I should do that. Write a story based on the photo. But of, course I am not Stephen King. Thank you for the comment, Michelle.
Instagram does very effective filters, they do enhance many a shot, I like the little figure bottom right of photo..nice touch.
The person is very important. The processing made the person a little more obscured, but I am glad you noticed. Thanks for the feedback, Paula.
It is a haunting snap, but I’m not certain it is a creepy kind of haunting 🙂 Agree with Paula in regards to the figure.
Thank you. 🙂
A rare shot for you–vintage character and (almost) monochromatic.
I think you are right. 🙂 Nevertheless a fun process. Thank you, Sally.
Wow, Otto, that is stunning. There’s a whole story hidden somewhere in that picture.
Thank you for the delightful feedback, Nancy.
It reminded me of all the deserted buildings I recently saw on the documentary about Chernobyl aftermath. Powerful photo, indeed.
I can promise you it’s nothing like Chernobyl, but it’s fun to see what can of thoughts the photo triggers.Thank you for the comment, Nandini.
Fabulous image, Otto. I agree with all your other commenters. 😃
Thank you, Sylvia.
A wonderful capture.
Thank you, Elen.
Wonderful sense of mystery in this one, Otto.
Thank you, Lisa.
Strange, the trees block most of the building behind but that in and of itself a draw into the picture.
I agree and for me that is part of why I took the photo. Without the trees it wouldn’t have been a photo at all. 🙂
the house of frankenstein i presume? hehe very cool mood you have going on in this pic!
Maybe it’s the house of Mr. Hyde…
I’ve not used Instagram but after seeing this image I’m keen to give it a go. Great work.
You should indeed give it a try. It’s great fun. 🙂
It’s rare that a photo instantly reminds me of another, but I don’t think you’ll mind that this one of yours reminds me of this.
Of course it’s quite a honour to liked to such a classic photo. Thank you, Linda.
A dramatic atmosphere that resonates in this place with your photo
Thank you, Pat.
Wow! Interesting post-processing. Very nicely done, Otto.
I am glad you like it. Thank you, Uday.
Is it a hospital or an apartment building?
It’s actually a building for research facility. 🙂
Those branches fan out so gracefully and provide great contrast to the cement and steel behind them. Lovely composition, Otto.
Thank you, Mary-Ann.
This filter has given this photo some wonderful texture but of course the composition is spot on.
Thank you, Mark.
The treatment you elected to use works so well to compliment this beautiful building.
Thank you for the love feedback, Linda. Much appreciated.
