Last Week’s Instagram

Munchow_1758-020_E2

Once a week I will show one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.

Instagram does very effective filters, they do enhance many a shot, I like the little figure bottom right of photo..nice touch.

  4. sheketechad says:

It is a haunting snap, but I’m not certain it is a creepy kind of haunting🙂 Agree with Paula in regards to the figure.

  5. A rare shot for you–vintage character and (almost) monochromatic.

It reminded me of all the deserted buildings I recently saw on the documentary about Chernobyl aftermath. Powerful photo, indeed.

It’s rare that a photo instantly reminds me of another, but I don’t think you’ll mind that this one of yours reminds me of this.

Is it a hospital or an apartment building?

  17. likeitiz says:

Those branches fan out so gracefully and provide great contrast to the cement and steel behind them. Lovely composition, Otto.

  18. This filter has given this photo some wonderful texture but of course the composition is spot on.

The treatment you elected to use works so well to compliment this beautiful building.
