Happy Holidays!

We are soon entering into the time when Christmas is celebrated in some parts in the world. As for myself I will try to get away from it all, by going travel. The next couple of weeks I will spend in Thailand. And of course, I won’t get away from it all, but I will enjoy being on the road again. And, really, Christmas is a good time to spend time with family and friends, but sometimes the commercial bit becomes a little bit overwhelming.

I wish you all Happy Holidays. I also want to thank you for keeping up with my blog and always posting encouragements and lovely comments. I very much appreciate your support. Thank you to all over you. See you next year!

  1. Happy Holiday Otto. Keep safe and hope you enjoy Thailand’s tropical temperatures. I was last there in about 1976, well before all the commercialism and high rise buildings in the capital.
Thanks for being so supportive and sharing your Photographic expertise over the past year. Looking forward to seeing your images and hearing about all the places you work in 2016.

      1. I need to find some new subjects or some different way of seeing in 2016. I feel as though I’ve ‘photographed everything to death’ in my current location. Now I have fewer camera lenses and less flexibility in bending and turning (after my 2nd lumbar spine surgery this year), I figure I need to see the world around me with different eyes. I don’t have the eyesight to experiment with pp, so best to find something new I CAN do.

  2. Have a good holiday, Otto, and thanks for sharing your wisdom and experiences through the year. One of the advantages of living in North Cyprus is that it’s Islamic, very tolerant, happy to indulge ex-pats with Christmas decorations, but none of the commercialism in Western nations. Such a relief! Signed, the Christmas Grinch

  3. It’s a great idea to travel at Christmas. I have done it several times, from sunny Cuba to snowy France. Far away from western commercialisation you can sip something tropical under a beach umbrella and reflect on 2015. Looking forward to more of your adventures in 2016.

  4. Happy Holidays! How lucky you get to go to Thailand!! I’m missing my travel as I haven’t done a fun international trip since July. Wonderful! Have a great time and I agree the commercialism of Christmas is so over the top. I’m not even religious but for me this time of year means special time with my extended family as we all live very far apart and it is the greatest gift of all!

  5. I wish you all the best out there with a hot climate.
It’s great to be assembled inside in the heat with light and joy with the family around Christmas.
But it would be great with light and heat outside too;-)
I wish you a peaceful and lovely 2016.

  6. Happy holidays too Otto! Wishing you a very happy, healthy, prosperous and creative New Year! Thanks for making my photographic year 2015 a much more inspired and focused one! :-))) Keep going from strength to strength!
