Once a week I will show one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.
So beautiful, winter, snow, leaves… I loved it dear Otto, Thank you, have a nice Holidays, love, nia
And thank you, Nia. May you have some lovely holidays, too.
Rare site …nowadays! Lovely picture.
Even here in my part of the world, it’s a bit rare these days. Thank you for the comment, Paula.
Nice composition at the arrival of the first frost! Beautiful end of year festivities
It was only one day, though. But I did enjoy it before it all went away again. 🙂
Beautiful, Otto. 🙂
Thank you, Robin.
Edible.
Thank you, Brenda.
A bit of leftover summer mixed with the first touches of winter’s frost. I don’t recognize the leaf..fruit tree?
I actually don’t know the plant. But I think it’s an evergreen.:-)
It’s utterly lovely, and reminds me of the rare occasions when our palms are dusted with snow. Funny how a photo of cold conditions can be so warming.
It’s a contradiction of terms. 🙂 Thank you for commenting, Linda.
I love that frostiness.
Thank you, Mary.
Very apt for Christmas Otto. I’ve just been out gathering holly and ivy and decorated my fireplace so I am all ready!
I don’t think I am ready for Christmas yet. But I’ll better soon be…
The capture has a wintery, crystalline quality that refreshes.
Thank you, Sally.
Love this one, Otto. 🙂
I am glad you do. Thank you, Sylvia.
I like to think it is a photo of cool and refreshing mint leaves. I feel wonderful just looking at this. Thank you, Otto.
Maybe wonderfully chilly? 🙂 Thank you, Lois.
Ah,what a beautiful wintery images, I don’t those frost here in Southern California
I guess you don’t really have winter in Southern California. Thank you, Cornelia.
Lovely shot (and just what I need to see in today’s heat Down Under in Melbourne).
I love the snowbound seasons in the Northern Hemisphere – they provide such tranquil scenes and subjects for photography.
Yes, whenever we have snow, that is. With the havoc of the climate these days, snow seems to be less and less part of the winter where I live at least. And I guess for you it’s really summer time – although you probably have summer all year…
a welcome sight as we swelter in temperatures above 100f = roughly 42c …an opportunity to hang inside and cruise my wordpress site! thanks : )) trees
Yes, I do feel fortunate when we have real winter. Temperatures over 100 F are tough!
Wünsche einen schönen 4 Advent Grüße und Umarmung Gislinde
Thank you, Gislinde. I wish you a wonderful weekend, too.
Amazing detail! Really like this x

Thank you, Craig – for the comment and following me.
Beautiful! I’m still waiting for winter…
Unfortunately, so am I. This was only a one day show.
I don’t care for Instagram, but this is pretty good, Otto. 🙂
I am glad you think so. Thank you, Frank.
A freezing photo 🙂
robert
Indeed – but now we have 10 degrees again. 🙂
I was in the Alps last week, no snow even at 2.000 meters …temperature like spring…
robert
Yes. What is becoming of our planet!?
Leaves are so pretty when touched by frost. Happy Holidays!
They are, aren’t they! Thank you, Julie, same to you!
That looks….. refreshing.
At least it was quite cold… Thank you, Elen.
Crisp and frosty. A great combination for a December morning. Wishing you Otto all the best during the Christmas festivities. Best regards, James
Thank you, James. Same for you, may you have Merry Christmas.
You are very welcome Otto.
That;s a great shot Otto – sums up winter beautifully.
Thank you, Andy.
There are times when frost is even appealing to me.
Beautiful shot. I hope this isn’t an adversity to farmers somewhere.
No, it isn’t at all. It’s quite the normal thing. Thank you for the comment, Allan.
You mean when you don’t have to freeze yourself? 🙂
Love the green with the contrast against the white frost around.
I am glad you do. Thank you.
Defying winter. I think it is poetic. Lovely!
Thank you, Paula. Good to have you back on my blog. 🙂
It was long overdue, Otto. My pleasure.
Nothing like overdue in the blog sphere, I am just happy to see you again. 🙂
