Last Week’s Instagram

Once a week I will show one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.

  1. Above the fiery chaos, there’s a hint of Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian man in the clouds. The juxtaposition is interesting — compelling, even. And the colors are beautiful.

  2. Interesting! I thought it was hot embers of a campfire or barbeque. Of course, this may have been in my mind because recently I was struggling to capture burning embers and did a lousy job of it. Anyway, I love this for it’s clarity and it’s somewhat mysterious, graphic quality.

  3. ooohhh it looks like the fires in the Pacific Northwest. Reminds me of Turner’s watercolors of volcano skies. Not to forget Rothko paintings. Interesting the diamond in the sky and the tree-like half diamond underneath
