Last Week’s Instagram

Munchow_1717-134_E2

Once a week I will show one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. The pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.

Fa pensare ad una montagna magica da raggiungere per scoprire cosa nasconde!!
    Molto molto bella.
    Saluti caro Otto. Ciao, Pat

    Simply gorgeous!

  3. YellowCable says:

Love the golden light on the mountain. The people sitting next to the tent just makes this picture lively.

  4. Susan says:

    Stunning! Love that golden light!

  5. loisajay says:

Can you imagine waking up to that view? Good glorious morning!

  6. Beautiful image, Otto. I don’t understand how Instagram works. Does it process your photo for you?

    • Well, you have different options to process the photos – or not, if you rather choose to. As mentioned in other occasions I also use other apps to process pictures with the cell phone.

  7. Vicki says:

What a stunning campsite location. Placing people and tent in the frame really puts the background mountain into perspective.

  8. Elaine- says:

i used to love camping, and now i’m skeered of bears…. but this scene makes me want to buy a tent and some bear proof panties🙂

  9. I Otto… I’m back after an extended leave and must confess I am an instagram fan! Such a lovely photo that captures the moment. I love the light on the mountain too.

  10. shoreacres says:

Speaking of seeing, the mountain looks remarkably like a fabulous, three-layered ice cream bombe: butterscotch covered with toasted coconut at the top, then chocolate, then vanilla. If you look very closely, it might be that you’d see the campers with some spoons.🙂

Apart from all that, of course, it’s a lovely, intimate photo of nature on a grand scale. Beautiful.

  11. Nisha says:

The sunlight on the mountain look like the volcano.

  12. walker says:

Priceless, golden moments. Something you can’t do without😉

  13. Beautiful colours Otto. It makes me want to be there.

  14. I recently got on instagram too. It’s fun and like you, I post different stuff there than in my blog.

  15. Chillbrook says:

    Gorgeous light Otto!

  16. paula graham says:

give you a brownie box and you will excel with it!, like you have here

  17. Gertie says:

  18. So beautiful and it looks like the mountain is on fire!

  19. Sue says:

Wonderful! Golden and atmospheric, the stuff of which future nostalgics are made….

  20. Sue says:

    Oops, nostalgias, not nostalgics….

  21. Burning embers of sunlight–truly visually captivating as well as emotionally and spiritually.

  22. Love that change from that golden warm crown of the hill to the cooler campsite. Nice shot.

  23. I love all the smooth skin of that tent against the rough texture of the landscape.

  24. This spot looks like heaven on earth, it’s gorgeous and your photo is as well.

  25. Debra says:

I want to be wherever that is! It’s a brilliant shot! I love the way the activity is at the campground, busy and camping life as we typically experience it, and then in the background is this glorious mountain, anything bur ordinary. All with Instagram! I’m impressed–as always, Otto!🙂

  26. Love that light, Otto! It’s a beautiful photograph.

  27. PC PHOTO says:

What an idyllic place to camp. You were very fortunate to experience it, well worth being off the grid for.

  28. dawnkinster says:

Love the light of course. Also like that at first I focused on the light at the top and then after quite a bit of time I realized there was a tent. Nice surprise.

  29. I’m inspired to create my own mobile photography blog series, called “From the iOS Darkroom”, based on your post. My first post will go live this Sunday. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing your images.

  30. Terrific colours Otto and what a view from the tents.
