Two Photo Workshops

As summer is fact approaching this part of the hemisphere I would just like to put out a reminder about two photo workshops I am teaching in the autumn. For both workshops there is still space available if you feel like building upon your photographic skills and expand you vision. Both workshops – although they run in different parts of the world – focus on the creative aspect of photography. During the days of the workshop you will develop your photographic seeing and visual capabilities, and you will learn how to create captivating photos. I can promise you that you will return home with a strong and coherent portfolio of photos whether you choose the workshop in Cuba or the one in Spain.

Cuba in Essence
The Cuba 2015 photo workshop is a great opportunity to discover this beautiful Caribbean island, its friendly people, the sensual rhythms of everyday life as well as the former colonial and African culture that still so much influence all life in Cuba. This workshop I am teaching with my friend and colleague Sven Creutzmann and we both know Cuba in and out and by hearts, respectively having worked and lived there for many years. I know many of my blog followers are from the United States. After Obama has opened up relationship with Cuba, this is a grand opportunity for you to discover a unique country before big changes will come as a consequence of the diplomatic relations returning to normal again after 55 years in a limbo. The workshop takes place from September 5th to 12th 2015. More info.

Street Photography in Villajoyosa
On this workshop we travel to the Spanish coast of Costa Blanca, more specifically, to the picturesque fishing village Villajoyosa. Villajoyosa is a pleasant little city with an old town where houses perch side by side, painted in all the most saturated colours you can imagine in the colour wheel. This charming old town is like a dream for any photographer, life goes on as it always has, kids are playing in the narrow alleys, and fishermen talk about the weather, while older people sit outside following life as it unfolds throughout the labyrinth of streets. This workshop is an affordable week long, great experience, easily accessible and taking place during the most pleasant season of this area. The workshop takes place from November 8th to 14th 2015. Both are striking photos and it is good to be able to see why. No way I can make it but will follow vicariously through the others who do attend. Thanks again, Otto for your teachings via your blog.
