This is just a little tribute to a season that is quickly coming to a closing. In the northern hemisphere autumn has once again produces its spectacular rainbow palette. Many places the colours are at their most intense right now, but where I am right now the season is already fading. Soon we move on to the next season, a season of white and blue. But before that, let’s linger a little more with the saturated palette of autumn, of the green, yellow and red spectrum of the colour wheel.
I love autumn!
It’s a magical season!
Oh, you make me miss norway! 🙂 But in a good way 🙂 I love your photos so very much! 🙂 I am in singapore, and here there are no seasons, but there are lots of beautiful colors and trees! 🙂
I am sure Singapore is beautiful in a different way. Thank you for the comment, Trini.
A beautiful tribute to a season I love. Thanks for sharing. H x
And thank you for the nice words, Harula.
Beautiful photos, Otto… it has been a lovely autumn!
Yes, indeed it has. 🙂
Hello ! Thank you for these splendid colours, shared with us. By here, il is always mostly green, but howewer, signs of autumn appear, some flashes of yellow, golden leaves. In a town, not so far, lights for Christmas are put in urban ( evidenty ! ) trees, at the end of september !!
In the commercial world Christmas starts way to early. Thank you for the comment.
What a wonderful collection Otto. I especially love the one of the person walking through the trees :).
Thank you, Cindy.
Living in the south I miss autumn..I will always remember the way the leaves changed colors, the air smelled cool and knowing winter was soon to come.
Beautiful photos, Otto!
Thank you, Lynne.
Beautiful! I’m still in the midst of the fall colors. I need to get out and really enjoy them while they last.
The colours certainly won’t last forever. Thank you for the comment, Linda.
Great colors and images, Otto! Our autumn is still in full color so thank you for the inspiration to get out and capture more photos!
I am glad if the post can get you out to enjoy the autumn’s colours. Thanks for the comment, Tricia.
I love the colors of fall, and I am enjoying photographing it all before it’s gone completely.
Well, what can I say, besides me, too. 🙂
Beautiful Otto. I love fall colours.
Fall colours are something special, aren’t they. Thank you, Edith.
They’re delicious-looking, Otto!
Thank you, Lynn.
That’s nice. Autumns just arriving here. A bit late.
Better late than never, I suppose. 🙂
Stunning! The photos bring colors of Autumn I don’t see from my own window! I luxuriate in yours! What beautiful photos, Otto!
Thank you, Debra, it’s always to read your comments.
So beautiful! Our colors here in Texas haven’t changed much yet, but it’s definitely a step up from Dubai. I will admire your photos until I can see my own changing leaves in Houston. 🙂
I bet it won’t take long till they turn around there, too. Enjoy the autumn, Lynda!
E’ un tributo fantastico, io adoro l’autunno e i suoi colori.
Grazie per queste bellissime foto caro Otto.
Un grande saluto, Patrizia
Autumn is my favourite season for walking in the woods and this post captures the sights so perfectly…such lovely photos.
Thank you for the nice words.
Beautiful colours has autumn i love it, however i love spring the most.
Each season has its beauty, no?! Thanks for the comment, Ellen.
Such beautiful autumn color, Otto!
Thank you, Lisa.
Einfach wunderschön tolle Herbstfarben liebe Grüße von mir und Freundschaft.Gislinde
Vielen Dank, Gislinde.
Lovely colors, Otto. Beautiful leaves are my favorite part of fall and your captures really sum up the best of them.
Thank you, Lisa.
What gorgeous colours – like nature is celebrating. 🙂
Thank you, Suzanne.
Splendid images Otto – beautifully crisp and vibrant. I particularly like the contrasts of colours, shapes and textures in the second one.
Thank you, Louis.
Gorgeous tribute to the change in seasons–the cycle of life represented with such attention to the details. It must have been an inspirational meandering. Your autumn has been spectacular with color. Ours has limped along, waiting for the hard frost that makes the colors spike. Thanks for your interpretation of such beauty.
And thank you for the wonderful words, Sally. It took some time for the colours to come out, but when they did, they were quite spectacular.
Wow! Spectacular, Otto!
Thank you, Robin.
Fabulous color! I love the second one – the area of grey lines juxtaposed next to the biomorphic brightly colored shapes of nature’s leaves.
I agree with you, the colours -and their combination – are quite extraordinary in this image. Thanks for the comment, Carla.
We’re still waiting for the best of our colours – but with the tail of Hurricane Gonzalo whipping the leaves off the trees there may not be much to show!
What a pity. I hope you will get to experience the colours of the autumn!
We’re having a beautiful autumn here in Maine also. The peak of color is passing now, where I live. It will be white here too soon enough!
It’s the autumn always beautiful in Maine. At least that’s was it’s suppose to be, no? 🙂
Beautiful Otto!!
Thank you, Adrian.
Beautiful images. The last one is my favorite. There is something about the grayness of the branches that really mike the colors of the leaves standout.
Thank you for the nice words, Craig.
While the photo of the woman walking in the woods is lovely, , I love the rythym in the branches above her.Great coour, it may be fading but going out with a burst of colour.
Yes, it is indeed. Thank you for the feedback, Jane.
Beautifully captured….
Thanks. 🙂
You’ve captured the variety of autumn, beautifully. Red, yellow and orange trees against a blue sky are lovely, but how much better to include the magenta, chartreuse, violet, and so on. I must have been powerfully impressed by the trees in Disney’s “Fantasia” as a child. The trees the woman is walking between seem quite alive, and a little ambiguous. Protectors? or threat? Perhaps only the woman knows the truth.
I remember Fantasia – quite a bonfire of colours! Thanks for the lovely feedback, Linda.
So many songs have been written that parallel the glories of autumn and our lives just before our own winter years. It is so true, and I revel in both.
Probably not a surprise, but I completely agree with you. 🙂
Glorious! I was just in the US Midwest last week and the leaves had barely begun changing, very disappointing. Your photos are what I wanted to see.
Thank you for those encouraging words, Candace.
Beautiful autumn colours — and what a wonderful sense of design in these compositions!
Thank you, Andrew.
A great set, Otto.
Thank you, Andy.
Good evening, when autumn show their colors and present beautiful pictures, colorful.
You are so right, Roland. Thank you.
So sweet. Not much sign of Autumn around north Texas—just hints, but the temperatures keep going back up to 88/90F (31/32C) even this late, so there’s not much color! So I’m glad to see pretty reminders that it does exist!!
xo,
Kathryn
I suppose you will get some colour changes in Texas, too – or is it too far south?
No, TX can occasionally get some color, even to the south border. We’ll have a small amount on our flowering pear trees and our red oak. But our forecast this year remains at those high temps into November! So I don’t expect we’ll see much…. 😉
Here in England we are having a beautiful autumn. Without the hurricanes that others have experienced, and before the first frosts of winter, the trees are still dressed in their very best autumn gowns. I couldn’t live anywhere without changing seasons.
The changing seasons is the greatest advantage of living in our part of the hemisphere – I think. 🙂
Stunning shots Otto. What colors! Will look forward to seeing your photographs of the ‘white and blue’ season 🙂
Thank you Uday. Hopefully it will be a white season – not only blue…
Glorious, Otto! 🙂 I especially like the lady and the leaves.
Thank you, Jo. She is my love one. 🙂
Autumn, yes one of the best times of the year (together with winter) with very special colors,
robert
A belated thank you. By now all colours are gone – at least where I am.
I say Amen! Stunners all, Otto, but that second one is calling my name. Cheers!
Thank you for the feedback, Elen.
Very, very beautiful. Thank you.
Thank you.
aaaaah do not our hearts burn within us, as we walk beside the colours of autumn? 🙂
Indeed they do – burn with passion.
Lovely colors. For some reason, this year the colors of Autumn is quite vivid. The season has officially started while but it is just now the real signs are just beginning.
It has indeed been quite an autumn full of colours. Thank you for the comment.
Couldn’t agree more… It seems as if the beautiful fall colors were just beginning to flow, and now as temperatures cool and days grow even shorter, we enter the grey/blue/white of winter. Enjoy it now ~ and your beautiful photos are a reminder to live it up. Cheers!
Thank for the nice words, Randall. And enjoy the new season you too, however it takes form.
I’m ready for the change of season, even though it seems autumn is moving by a bit too fast. Something about the starkness of winter I find soothing (yet very challenging as well). Cheers!
Ah, my favorite season, so beautifully captured!
Thank you, Susan.
Beautiful….
Thank you, Mira.
Yes, hold the drabness of winter at bay.
Well, winter came be beautiful as well… 🙂
A riot, a riot, a riot of colours!
Thank you. 🙂
Beautiful, beautiful colors!
Thank you, Nandini.
