Once a week—or every so often—I will display one of my photos captured and/or processed with Instagram over the last week. It’s a way for me to show photography that usually is quite different from my regular work. Except for the technical details beneath the pictures are displayed without any comments, hoping they will stand on their own. But I still very much appreciate any comments you may have.
Facts about the photo: The photo was taken with a Canon EOS-5D with a 100-400 mm zoom lens set at 250 mm. The photo was transferred to my cell phone and processed first with the Snapseed app with various adjustments before uploaded in Instagram.
There is always something special and different and very likeable about your photos, this one no exception, of course not.
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback, Paula.
You prove once again, that a picture speaks a thousand words, Otto.
Thank you, Francina.
I like the busy nature of this shot, with so much going on apart from right at the front where there is a little space which really balances the scene.
I have more and more come to enjoy capture busy scenes. 🙂
I really like the processing, which gives it a vintage sensibility.
Yes, it does hint of days gone by. 🙂
I would never have expected, Otto, to see so many wires in Bergen and thank you very much for your interesting foto, which opened my eyes! Very best regards Martina
Oh, there are wires all over the world, I believe. But they can make for some interesting pattern at least.
2 x absolute!!
Looks like you were standing in the middle of the tracks to get this shot, but I’m betting you really weren’t 😋
No, you are right, it’s the contraction of the perspective due to a long lens that makes that feeling. 🙂
A very cool capture and nice process for this street photo. It’s pretty challenging to take a photo of a street with wires, signs, cart, people. 🙂
And I like that challenge! More to come, I would think.
I love all the lines in this street scene, Otto.
Thank you, Ellen.
Lovely Otto, tells a real story in itself.
Thanks a lot, Miriam.
A great vantage point for this shot! Love that front straight to the train..
I happy you like it.
Interesting shot. It looks almost vintage and then you realize it has a very modern transport system which makes it seem almost futuristic. So, a vintage futuristic shot. I like it. 😉
I was trying to combine the two. So I am happy you noticed. 🙂
I found myself pondering the possibility that the interior of the train cars may offer a simplicity, silence, and restfulness that’s in opposition to the hubbub and busyness of the outside world. It’s an interesting, if less obvious, contrast.
Often through, the inside is even more chaotic, cramped with people and lots going on. However, on quiet days it can be really relaxing to travel with the tram and just take in the outside. 🙂
I love this image, Otto. There is so much going on, yet it’s easy on the eyes. It kept me looking and studying. Love the sunstar beaming from the engine.
I have come to enjoy photographing chaos and try to make some order of it compositionally.
I really like the overall effect of this image – sort of vintage. The orange looks great in it.
Thank you, Syd.
Your photo provides a busy city feeling … lot’s to look at … just like being there!
That’s a lovely feedback. Thanks, Denise.
eeeeek, a runaway train!!! have you ever seen that movie? runaway train? with john voight, rebecca demorney, and eric roberts? it’s a very good movie, quite old now, but worth a watch
I did see the movie. What’s happening here is much more prosaic.
‘you’re nothing but an animal!!’… ‘no, worse… HUMAN’ 🙂
I am worse than an animal, no doubt. 🙂
there’s always ONE carry away line from a movie 🙂
A perfect example of how a very busy photograph, can also be a truly wonderful photograph.
I really love this one, Otto.
Yes, usually we assume that less is more. But I do like to shoot busy photos. 🙂
Always nice to explore Bergen like this. 🙂 The unexpected pops up.
Bergen’s many faces…
A superb image Otto!
Thank you, Adrian.
